Welcome to My Yoga Journey
Yoga has been my lifeline, my teacher, and my path to rediscovering strength — both physical and emotional. My journey began in elementary school after a gymnastics accident left me with a broken neck. One year in a body cast, with little hope for full mobility, could have ended my dreams. But yoga showed me otherwise. Through gentle movement, breath, and patience, I healed — returning to competitive skating and proving to myself that the body and spirit are far more resilient than we imagine.
Over the years, life brought more challenges — sports injuries, car accidents — each time bringing me back to the mat. In university, another severe accident left me in a neck brace. My orthopedic surgeon said there was nothing more to be done. Once again, yoga carried me through, showing me that dedication and consistency can transform the impossible into the possible.
As my practice deepened, I realized yoga’s healing power goes far beyond the physical. It nurtures the mind, restores the spirit, and reconnects us to our authentic selves. This passion led me to create Ambaa, a non-profit wellness centre offering modified yoga for people with chronic pain, cancer, and other health challenges — making sure anyone in need could access care.
My teaching style is heart-centered and old-school: peeling away layers of tension in mind, body, and soul to help you reconnect with your authentic self. Every class is an invitation to discover your strength, presence, and compassion, one breath at a time.
